Waka Namya is a haven of quite in the bstling heart of Penestanan Ubud, Bali's famous painter community village, and built in the traditional Balinese architecture or Lumbung design (rice store in Balinese) with tropical garden landscaped and a large swimming pool. Waka Namya offers tranquility, privacy the center of art and relaxed atmosphere. A beauty treatment centre with two massage rooms is available to pamper guests

The large Sparkling azure swimming pool is at the heart of Waka Namya. Four of eight, two-storey Villas have gateways to the pool surrounds, the other four face away from the pool, with views over the surrounding village and rice fields.

The Villas all have their own private walled courtyard, in a charming setting which recreates the intimacy of a traditional Balinese village. Each(8) villa can comfortably accommodate 3 adults or two adults and two children. There are also three (3) romantic Lanai rooms and now an additional four (4) Deluxe Lanai or two interconnecting rooms with a shared private swimming pool in one compound has been operated starting September 2006.

The Lumbung Style architecture is distinctive and features the high pitched alang-alang roofs of the traditional Balinese rice stores. The Swimming pool is large and inviting, and all the units have private courtyards and landscaped gardens. As well the resort spa offers relaxing massages, refreshing spa baths and expert beauty treatments.


THE ARCHITECT
I Ketut Siandana is a Balinese Architect as well as a director of the hotel and it is his creation. To people who know him he is a visionary the new generation Balinese, the hope for the future, if Bali is to retain its special magic, a traditionalist whose visions is to present the Bali experience in a unique way. He believes Waka Namya gives visitors a chance to experience this and the many guests who have stayed there agree with him. You are in the centre of the artists village of Ubud, you are a part of the culture, you have been transported to another place another time the Bali you come for.
