Tanah Lot Temple in Bali

The Tanah Lot temple constructed atop a large, jagged outcropping of rock just off the coast. The temple can only be accessed during low tide. This is the most famous temple in Bali from tourism perpective because it located not far from the city and has wondeful sunset views.

This temple was build by "Danghyang Nirarta" a famous Brahman priest who wandered from Java to Bali in the 16th century. They are many guide books that will give you far more informations about Tanah Lot as this is one of the sight a must visit when you are on the island.

Directions to Tanah Lot from Seminyak:

From the Seminyak you can reach the Tanah Lot temple in around 30 minutes depending on the traffic. Usually the traffic is crowded during people coming home from their works around 3pm to 4pm.
